The Lawton – Ft. Sill Regional Airport has served the Southwestern Oklahoma region since 1950. It is one of our major transportation resources, bringing people and business to and from the Southwestern Oklahoma area.  Lawton Ft-Sill enjoys daily direct service to the Dallas – Ft. Worth International Airport provided by American/American Eagle Airlines.

The Red River Public Transportation Service has been operating in western and south-central Oklahoma since 1984. Regularly scheduled routes are currently available to 138,988 residents in selected cities within the counties of Roger Mills, Beckham, Custer, Washita, Kiowa, Tillman, Cotton, Jefferson and Stephens. In addition, demand response service is available for the public. Red River also provides contractual services to businesses, schools and health providers.

SoonerRide is a non-emergency transportation service available to Medicaid recipients. Great Plains Improvement Foundation Inc., provides curb-to-curb service for qualified clients who have appointments with their physicians, need dialysis, and other medical treatment. Clients call a toll free telephone number to make an appointment for transportation at least three days in advance of a health care appointment. Many of the vehicles used for SoonerRide program are equipped with lifts for wheelchairs. The program is funded with both state and federal Medicaid dollars.

It is the policy of the Comanche Nation Transit to provide services to the community. Our objective is to provide assistance for our passengers in a prompt, courteous fashion without discriminating against race, color, physical handicap or disability and national origin. We provide services to work, vocational school, college, medical appointments, grocery shopping, pay bills, appointment for dialysis patients etc. The Comanche Nation Transit has eight buses serving over 28,000 annually.

The communities we serve are: Lawton, Apache, Elgin, Cyril, Fletcher, and Cache.

FASTrans was established in 1986 by the Kiowa Indian tribe. The program serves approximately 84,696 residents in sections of Kiowa, Caddo and Comanche counties. Regularly scheduled routes within the major cities Anadarko, Apache and Carnegie are available, as well as routes from these cities to the city of Lawton. In addition, FASTrans serves a small part of Kiowa county’s homebound members of the Kiowa Indian tribe by delivering “Meals on Wheels” and providing them with transportation services if needed.
